Our story

We fell in love while he was in his addiction, went through two different states incarcerations, wedding inside the prison walls, fighting for our relationship while he was struggling active addiction and his recovery.

Our history

Hello my name is Candace, my husband's name is Tylor and I hope you're ready to read about our wild ride from the time we met, through addictive addiction, two (yes, two) different states incarcerations, coming home, active addiction, troubled marriage, and currently marriage restoration. So let's begin, We meet in July of 2018 on a dating website nonetheless. It's like a cliche when we first met I knew this was the man God made for me. We spent all night talked about anything and everything. Tylor was fresh out of Texas Prison and slowly sliding down the slippery slope of his substance addiction. This landed him in Bowie county jail with a robbery charger (that was later dropped) and shortly after in Miller County Arkansas  jail for a gun charge. While Ty was in Arkansas prison he was housed in the faith based dorm where he participated on the praise team (he's an amazing singer, but hey I might be a little bias). We started working on our relationship by reading marriage devotionals, and praying. When Ty was transferred to Texas (Bowie county to be exact) due to paroling out of Arkansas Prison. He fell back into old habits that caused him to be in active addiction while in county jail. Once he was sentenced to 7 years for a felony gun charge in Texas he was sent back into the prison system. Fast forward we decide to get married while he was still in Texas Prison on August 11th, 2022. Tylor made parole and was released July 5th, 2023. When he came home it was a big adjustment. He was home a little over a month and once again fell into old habits that led to active addiction. Now we're currently in marriage restoration with God's help.
